Teachers are required submit reports to administrators to receive reimbursements for any supplies purchased using their district funding. This pulls teacher’s focus away from teaching and to classroom supply tracking. Additionally, lost or damaged supplies can lead to teachers being unable to complete lessons as planned.

According to MDR Education there were over 4 million K-12 teachers working in 11,355 public and private schools in the United states in 2022.
